National media is taking an interest in our water plight.

The narrative GRA is trying to develop: ordinary people working together to support each other. A change from much of the rest of the country where service delivery is resulting in conflict.

Tomorrow, Mail&Guardian will be in town and they see it as a big story. They will be talking to the other big players to assess causes; we will focus on the community side.

There is, sadly, a negative side too – people who do not get it and still waste water. If you see examples, let us know by email info@grahamstownresidentsassociation.co.za and we will try to use friendly persuasion. To make a report through official channels: watercrisis@makana.gov.za – try that too and let us know if it works.
